SKILL ACQUIRED: COMMAND OVER LESSER DEMONS, BEGINNING.
Heads up to everyone who plays a demon (or other, see below) - this is entirely if you think this would be fun to play with! I am totally fine if you'd rather just assume World Rules Do Not Cross The Streams - in fact this will be my default, so this is opt in, plus entirely flexible even if you DO opt in. I just think it could be fun. =3c
Rin has the highest rank of command (BLUE FLAMES OF HELL ROYALTY) of Satan! Basically: if Rin thinks or says "BACK OFF" hard enough, demons will back off. It's an internally felt compulsion, like instinct. RIN'S THE BOSS!
Beginning level means it's just that, a barked compulsion, not something he can easily reinforce. If you're a really low-rank demon sure ok Rin can probably get you to not eat his friend. If higher, you may... hesitate??? Whoa I should do what he says. Wait, why? Or maybe you feel it and are like, what is this baby ordering me for? /WEDGIE.
If you are also effectively the prince of hell (DANTE AND VIRGIL?? WHO ELSE??) or "equal rank" - I have no idea if Rin causes any kind of compulsion and it's just Very Easy To Ignore, or if there's nothing there. It's heavily implied that Rin is, in fact, a Trump Rank, even above all the secondary kings. It is possibly implied it's already happened. Just also, all examples have stomped him, so it's completely irrelevant at this level and... all levels. He has never ordered a cool demon around before (probably). Cross canon is the only way.
FOR THE RECORD, there is also room for flexibility w/ what is defined as "demonic" - zombies, for instance, are classified as part of that realm, because they are spirits possessing dead flesh and Dead Souls fall under the dominion of Gehenna. Spirits that Possess Living Things also seem to count half the time bc they both originate from Gehenna? Aono does this QUITE A FEW TIMES with things that normally wouldn't remotely be "demony," and makes them Totally Count. (Humans that "fall" have also counted). So if you have something else and you'd like to play with this you can use crossworld rules if u liek.
